You might have noticed it already on one of our live-shows but Arjen Rommens (our temporary keyboardplayer) is no longer with us because he had to go back to gigging with his original band The Palooka's. THANKS FOR HELPING US OUT ARJEN! Our new keyboard player is called Jo Cheese AKA Jo van 't Zand Welcome Jo, great to have you with us!

Thought you might find this story amusing: When the management of Football Club PSV Eindhoven (close to where Mark lives) heard about the up-coming release they initially showed an interested in Mark performing his football-songs on their Open Day July 2006. But when they were send a sample of the music, they replied that the music and lyrics didn't fit the image PSV Football Club wanted to portray on this day........ (I tried to explain the lyrics were comedy, not to be taken in a serious way, but they didn't share our sense of humour I guess :)

10 March 2006 Mark Foggo's Skasters will fly to Barcelona airport (make a quick stop to say hello to Ramona) and then drive to Sabadell to do a gig in The Salle Seattle !! See you there all you Spanish Ska-people

Some more festivals were confirmed this week. 16 april 2006 they will play the mainstage of Paaspop- Schijndel. 17 june 2006 they will appear on the Indian Summer Festival - Broek op Langedijk.

Great news; In April 2006 a new cd will be released! The cd will contain football-inspired songs for the World Cup in June 2006. The band will be touring & performing the songs life in june throughout Germany. One song of this cd will also be appearing on a punk-compilation cd released by the German Knock Out Records.

Special news to Dutch ska-fans!

Mark Foggo's voice takes unexpectedly longer to recover. That's why two leadsingers of NL ska-bands JOHAN STEEVENS (J-STARS) & DR. RUDE(RUDE & VISSER) will join him on stage on 03-12-2005 in Lierop (NL) Nirwana http://www.nirwana.nl.They will take over a large part of the vocals. The 3 of them plan on making a BIG BIG ska party together and are really looking forward to this show!

At Lowlands (which we enjoyed enormously) we did an acoustic session for VPRO: you can listen to Volvo. Actually, you can listen to almost the whole set at 3voor12.vpro.nl!

You might have noticed that MFS are not working during the month of November. After over 3000 gigs Mark's voice needs some medical attention but don't worry he'll be back with full force in December.

Normally the bigger festivals take place in the summer, but in the first two months of the new year we will play at two festivals that are bigger than usual ;-) The first one is "Punk and disorderly Festival" on 23-01-2005. The second one is the Dutch Ska-fest on 26-02-2005. Enjoy.

IMPORTANT NEWS
I (Mark) am presently recovering from a hernia operation which was carried out in hospital on monday (november 22).I wish to apologise to all ska fans in Marburg and Ahaus where we were expected to play this weekend. I hate to cancel gigs and let people down but unfortunately there was no choice on this occassion. We will be playing both these venues in the new year and hope to see you there.

07-09-2004:
On september 1 the Skasters played in Berlin at a place called Kalkscheune . After the show we met Peter Bijl, who works voor VPRO-radio. He mentions us in his online-diary (click on 'september', then on '1') and read what he thought of the gig. Thanks Peter.

31-08-2004:
On september 26 the Skasters will play with the Selecter in the Effenaar . On that day the 2Tone label celebrates it's 25th anniversary!
Therefore on september 23 an interview will be held on Kink FM at 20.15. Kink FM will give away two tickets for the gig in the Effenaar plus a CD and a backstage pass.
So tune in to Kink FM.

The "Greetings from Eindhoven Rockcity" CD is out now and you can read reviews of it (in Dutch) on www.planet.nl and www.platomania.nl .
The VPRO-radio also played "Deadbeat" and you can listen to it on their 3voor12.vpro.nl site: there is streaming audio of the broadcast and the song is played after approx. 38 minutes in the second hour: you can scroll to this point. Enjoy.

Royal 3 Records has planned the release date for the CD "Greetings from Eindhoven Rockcity" for May 11th. Mark Foggo has contributed one song for this CD, called Deadbeat. Other bands on the CD are Peter Pan, Let's Quit, Stuurbaard Bakkekaard, The Spades and many more. Check out their site .

For months our page with lyrics had only five songs, but we're working on it and currently you can find some forty songs. Find out what Mark is talking about at the lyrics page.

11-02-2004:
The last few weeks we have been working on a new track called Deadbeat. This song will appear on a compilation CD called Eindhoven RockCity. Other bands on this CD will be Peter Pan (of course) and Beef (of course) and many more. As soon as we know the details we will bring you up to date.

Happy New Year to all you ska people and thanks for all your support in 2003.
Our plans for 2004 include a brand new Mark Foggo's Skasters CD and for the first time a live DVD. Together with this we'll of course be playing as many gigs as possible. You can stay informed about our gigs and release dates on our website. We hope to be gigging somewhere near you in the near future.

As was mentioned on this page in june www.wisehead.nl has recorded an EP and on one of the songs, Let's Play, Mark sings (sort of). On januari 4 Wisehead will appear on local television in Limburg and of course Mark can be seen.
And there's more Wisehead: you can vote on the BNN site for their song appear on 3FM in januari. Goodluck, Wisehead.
